"Why do you want to play guitar?" "‘cause I wanna rock!" Really, when you think about it, what drives most kids to pick up a guitar? It’s the inspiration they get from their favorite bands and the desire to play like their favorite guitar player. So, if that’s what motivates someone to play guitar, we figured why not give them what they want and set up a music school that is truly focused on learning how to play rock music….in all it’s forms, from classic rock to modern metal and everything in between. Yes, theory is important, but having fun, especially in the early stages of learning an instrument, is what will keep the interest up. At RockRight Academy we have what we believe is a great balance between learning music theory and playing rock. Our first priority though is to get the kids playing and having fun. RockRight Academy is run by three people; Ralph Napolitano—aka the Dean of Rock— and owner of Ralph’s House of Tone in Dover, NH, Gary Leighton, and Seamus Burke. All three are incredibly skilled players, very knowledgeable about music theory, play regularly in local bands, and really know how to make learning fun.
